Any seasoned real estate agent can tell you that there are questions we get asked every time we work with a client. Today, we’re taking a look the most common questions buyers ask when they’re searching for the perfect home and giving you the answers.
Do I Really Need a Realtor?
When dealing with any big investment, the best answer is to consult a professional. That is no different with real estate. A good realtor will be familiar with the property regulations in your area, is eager to help you find the perfect home, and will be a reliable source of information as you make this big change. In today's market, the competition is really difficult. Crafting an offer that can "win" you a house when competing with 12 other buyers requires help from a full-time agent that you trust. They also need a great reputation among their peers and a track record of winning multiple offers.
Should I Buy or Rent?
This one is tough, but the best answer ends up coming in the form of another question: What works best for you? Buying a home is a big investment that comes with responsibility, security, and fulfillment. In some circumstances, such as short-term living in a certain area, renting a home may be the best option for you. I work hand-in-hand with my clients as their CONSULTANT to help you determine your best option. I often advise not to buy.
How is the Neighborhood?
Real estate professionals are bound by rules that prevent us from giving personal insight into specific aspects about neighborhoods, schools, and so forth. Regardless of this, a good realtor will be able to lead you in the right direction to fit your needs.
How Many Homes Should I Look at Before Making a Purchase?
There is no set number of homes you should look at before making a purchase. When you find the perfect home, you’ll know- even if it’s the first home you see! I have a tried and true system for home searches that educates my buyers so that by the time they find the perfect home, they feel confident in their decision AND the process.
While these are just some of the most common questions an experienced real estate agent hears whenever a buyer is looking for the perfect home, the vast intricacies of homeownership warrants many more.
